789 is a number that comes after 782 and before 792. It is an exotic number, and a lucky number for few.

789 = 700 + 80 + 3 + 3 + 3

789 is part of a theory first formulated by that kid with the funny glasses on the day when Billy had a cold. The theory states that 789 was the original (as this was it's first mention) cause of the fear-frighten relationship between the integers 6 and 7. Modern research however has led some mathematicians to believe that in fact all of the integers below and including 20 are in fact fearful of 7, possibly because it has a really sharp point in the upper-right-hand corner.

The digit sequence "789" is also the first three digits of 10000 different phone numbers.
