It's the American Way!

The A.O.H.S. – Art Of Hypocrisy Society – was created to celebrate the concept of hypocrisy as a form of art. The leader (and founder) of the A.O.H.S. is famous in his field, yet nobody knows of his name. Whenever he is asked of his name he states that he will reveal it, but then never does. Indeed, such a theme appears to persist within the society itself. At the start of the weekly two-hour meeting sessions, the leader clearly states that he will write down the names of his members into his register, but proceeds never to do such a thing at all. Sessions usually start with a presentation from the leader, in which he will typically look back on historical events containing hypocrisy and praise them. Interestingly however, the leader often approaches hypocrisy in an extremely scientific way, which directly contrasts with what the title of the society suggests. Indeed, the leader announced he is contemplating in turning the A.O.H.S. into a chess club, whilst bizarrely maintaining the society’s name. He stated that such an act “is complementary to what this society is all about”. However, as the years go by it appears this will never actually happen.

[edit] Examples of Hypocrisy

The leader recently stated in an interview that the A.O.H.S. will always be a small organisation in which the member count will never exceed a few dozen. However, the current A.O.H.S. member count is currently around 45,000 people. During one of his presentations, the leader cursed TV show The Simpsons as delivering only occasional and poor quality hypocrisy and declared he would never support such a program. Two days later, the society hall was covered in Homer Simpson wallpaper. Also, the leader (and many other A.O.H.S. members) reportedly declared Tony Blair to be an appalling prime minister and that the conservative party was the way forward, before proceeding to vote labour. Strict rules are always imposed in A.O.H.S. meetings, which the leader makes clear at the start of every session. Amongst these are “no eating food within these halls”, despite the leader often nibbling jaffa cakes during his presentation, and on many occasions organising after-presentation buffets.
