Mahmood Ali Al-Jazeera, (1232-1279) an important mathematician and natural scientist. Al-Jazeera was the first to discover what later became a fundamental postulate of quantum mechanics, namely that information is subjective.

[edit] Early Life

The third child of a triplet, economic problems made early life difficult for Al-Jazeera. Later he was quoted commenting on his childhood, "Quite often we would have to go without essentials, such as bread or oil". Though historical details are vague, it is generally accepted that these childhood shortages greatly affected his behaviour later on.

[edit] Oil Obession

At the age of 22 Al-Jazeera became chief scientist in the court of Sultan Osama bin Laden, which gave him the access to vast fortunes. However, most of his money went to his childhood obsession with cooking oil and by the time of his death he had more than %60 of the world's cold pressed olive oil reserves. This he stored in a series of wells he had dug up in an area today called the Persian Gulf. (See United Arab Emirates).

[edit] Scientific breakthrough

During a trip to Switzerland at the turbalent times when the Swiss political system was being formed, Al-Jazeera made the observation that:

"An apple can also be considered a security threat, as in the case of William Tell"

This was the breakthrough that lead to his idea that information is relative. The mathematical formulation of this idea is:

[edit] Implications on Quantum Mechanics

As early as the 16th century is was known by physicists that the Al-Jazeera formula can be used to derive the relation:

Re\left(\frac{News|_{Al-Jazeera}}{News}\right)  \ll 1

However is was only in 1905 that Niels Bohr understood that since alcohol is banned in the Muslim religion, so are bars, therefore h-bars. Quantum mechanically this can be expressed as

News|_{Al-Jazeera} \ne \hbar

This is the fundamental postulate of Quantum Mechanics.
