"Ever feel like somedays the world is against you? For an Alaskan crab fisherman, it really is."

~ Oscar Wilde on Alaskan crab fishermen
An average day in the life of an Alaskan crab fisherman. Notice him battling the mutant space crabs.

Alaskan crab fisherman is the deadliest job in the known universe. Approxiamately 3 billion Alaskan crab fishermen die each day to this gruesome job. The job is bad enough in that it takes place on the ocean, where it's all wet and filled with giant squids, not to mention sharks. Sometimes there are storms, which result in the Alaskan crab fisherman sometimes slipping and hurting their head. But the deadliest part of this occupation is most definitely the crabs.

Crabs are considered the most dangerous animals on the planet, for many reasons. First of all, they have claws that they pinch you with if you get near them. And they walk sideways, making it very hard to detect where they're moving. If not forward, how can one possibly tell where it's gonna end up?! If a normal person is confronted with a crab, they are advised to commit suicide right then and there, because if you don't the crab will most likely maul you and turn you into a zombie. But even with these formidable traits, Alaskan crab fishermen are willing to risk their lives every day to capture these beasts. Truely, they are the bravest people on the planet.
