From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Alejandra Maruzal Cohen (born October 27, 1985 in Havana, Cuba), is an Cuban-American figure skater from The O.C. show. Sasha is fluent in Spanish, of course. Her mother was born in Spain, and her father is a Jewish gentleman from Havana.
Cohen competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, finishing fourth. Her best season was 2003-04 when she took gold at three Grand Prix events and silver at both the North American Figure Skating Championships and the World Figure Skating Championships. She withdrew from 2004 Grand Prix events due to a recurring back injury, but returned to place second at both the 2005 North Americans in Portland, Oregon and World Figure Skating Championships in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
Alejandra is coached by the one and only Tonya Harding, now with a coaching sanction from Ice Skating Australia, out of the JP Igloo and Co ice rink in Bradenton, Florida. She switched coaches after being with Johnny Nix for a while. She has quite imporoved since that time, taking silver at Worlds, and gold at the Campbell's Classic.
Alejandra did win a few medals for Cuba, before her defection to the United States. She won the silver medal for Cuba at the 2000 North American Figure Skating Championships in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to her defection, she had been one of Cuba's top skaters.
Alejandra is not, however, related to the founder of BitTorrent, Bram Cohen, in anyway.
