Alex Shrub

Congressman Alex Donald Shrub was a power hungry politician of Vice City.

Shrub was always aiming to take over the entire city of Vice but constantly failed in his attempts to do so. However his ambitions seemed to come to fruition when he bought the Vice City Police Department (VCPD). With the entire police force under his control Shrub began a long and bloody war on Vice City and it's people. Many lives were lost including 600 men, 60 women, 24 children, 3 dogs and 2 cats.

However whilst Shrub had complete control of the police force, anarchists still fought against his regime. Shrub knew that he had neither the man power or indeed the money to deal with his enemies, so he turned to fellow right wing politician Pastor Richards for help. After a long negociation, the two former enemies united to take control of the city.

After Richards had helped Shrub, the two men began to plot against each other in order to sieze control for themselves. However it was Shrub who betrayed Richards first and had his former ally locked away in a prison cell, leaving him there to rot without food or water.

However as time went by, more anarchist movements broke out against Shrub, one went as far as actually springing Richards from his cell. As the amount of opposition towards Shrub grew, so did the courgage of the poor Cuban workers on the radio such as Maurice Chavez who quickly spoke out against Shrub and broadcast his message to the entire city.

An attack was launched on the Congressman's mansion on Starfish Island and all hell broke lose. The anarchists closed off all bridges towards the island and thus also cutting off Shrub's escape. Shrub however had a helicoptor atop his mansion roof and rushed to escape. Once upon his mansion roof, Shrub went to get in the helicoptor when Richards emerged from behind a petrol can, armed with a shotgun. The two men fought over the shotgun whilst the anarchists closed in. The fight went dangerously close to the edge when the anarchists reached the roof. They captured both men and disarmed them. Then whilst crying mad chants and screams, the anarchists held the two politicians above their heads and moved towards the edge of the roof. With the screaming still going on, the anarchists cast Shrub and Richards from the roof and the two men fell to their deathes. Shrub's body was burnt at the stake and anarchy continues to reign supreme in Vice City.
