Alycia Lane (b. May 10, 1972) is an American television journalist and part-time swimwear model. She is the younger sister of Lois Lane, the famous firebrand reporter for the "Daily Planet".

Background[edit]

Lane is a native of Long Island, New York. She has a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Metropolis University, and a Diploma in Photoshop from the State University of New York. She also has a blackbelt in Karate from Mr Kim's International School of Streetfighting. Lane describes herself as 100% Taurus and that her dream job would be as a professional figure skater.

Controversy[edit]

In May 2007 Lane became the centre of an international media story, when reports surfaced that Lane emailed Brazilian holiday pictures of herself in a skimpy costume to the Daily Planet's Clark Kent to an account that he shared with his wife, Lois Joanne Lane-Kent. Lois's expletive-filled email response to her sister became very public, but Alycia insisted that the pictures were harmless and that she and Kent (aka Superman) have been "like sister and brother", and that they "regularly exchange stuff."

Arrest[edit]

Lane was arrested in the early morning hours of December 16, 2007 in New York City, accused of thumping a female police officer. Lane was charged with one felony count of assault with intent to cause a major career change. Lane's current employer has not commented on either her sexy figure or her future involvement in the new series of Wonder Woman. It was announced on December 17,2007 that effective immediately Lane will be taken off the air and has started early a planned vacation to Outer Mongolia.
