Argos is one planet turning around a red star called “Rao”.

A laser beacon was posed on the Argos planet in order to warn the cosmonauts of the risks of glaze. All our thanks with NASA to have enabled us to use this stereotype

[edit] History

the system of Rao comprised 7 planets including two, Krypton and Argos was too neither close, nor too far from its star, which supported the appearance of the life, its development, the emergence of intelligent beings then of civilization. The technological level of two planets were higher than our and its inhabitants resembled (at least outside) land goods humanoids de pure race aryenne of américano-Irish stock. One day for reasons discussed by the scientific community, the core of the Krypton planet was destabilized, causing its nuclear explosion and leaving the place to a cloud of radioactive dusts. The scientists of the planet (who are too strong) had envisaged the event and thus asked Superman to go to see elsewhere… The blast of the Krypton explosion was such as the orbit D ' Argos was very chamboulée by it and the planet was put to move away openly from its star. The temperature became increasingly cold, all harvests were lost and a famine mortal was right of the major part of the population. Some succeeded in surviving as a practitioner the cannibalism, but the lack of vitamins finishes decimating them. When Superman decided several years later to go to make a small round of inspection, it found only one vague cousin, fore-mentioned Kara whom it brought back on ground, where she pointed out herself by making silly things under the name of Supergirl

[edit] Anecdotes

the Argos planet was a long time a reference mark for all the mountain dwellers lost in the night: the marks out Argos indicates the direction Be-North-South indeed systematically.

[edit] Opinion of Hubert Reeves

It is equivocal this history!

~ Hubert Reeves on drift of the planet Argos

In “ Ach Gauss Planet ”, a work published in September 2001, in German language, Hubert Reeves raises the good questions: * A core which are destabilized, and which cause a nuclear explosion, that do not have any direction. Thus or Krypton exploded for very an other reason, or it did not explode! * One is unaware of which were the respective situations D ' Argos and of Krypton. Were they a double planet or two distinct planets turning separately around the Rao star? Superman questioned is unable to answer, but it is true that it was small when it arrived on Earth. At all events, in a case as in the other, a planet explosion cannot involve a disturbance of a close planet under the described conditions.
