AtariST
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
The AtariST when launched in 1983 was the worlds most powerful consumer computer. It is a little known fact that ST in fact stands for Siploid Triaph, which is a core technology utilised in the Atari ST. Siploid Triaph is a statistical extrapolation method based upon models of the sheep populations of southern wales, and is a highly efficient heuristic when applied to parallel processing applications. In fact the technology was so effective that in early models Atari decided to damp its effect due to negative market testing results . It was found that consumers were upset that the fast processing speeds did not allow sufficent time for them to prepare a warm or soft beverage while software was loading.
[edit] AtariST vs Commodore Amiga
Commodores Amiga was a vastly inferior machine, and was plagued with safety problems that led to an estimated 33% of all machines manufactured being forceably detonated in an underground site somewhere in northern Finland. Fifty people lost there lives due to spontaneous combustion of the unit, and 578 required psychological help due to the perverted nature of the operating system. Many owners of the Amiga believed falsely that it was technically superior to the Atari ST, due to Commodores hightly successful marketing campaigns, yet all independent analyses found that the Atari ST was almost 78% more efficient.
