The Banana Olympics was first held in the city of Oslo, in 1952. In 1951 there had been a big banana draught, and Norwegians were without bananas for a whole year. To celebrate the first shipment of bananas arriving since 1950, the Norwegians decided to host this famous sporting event.

What everyone remembers from the Banana Olympics is the famous "Chiquita Toss", which was won by the pope.

At the Adelaide Banana Olympics of 1956, the introduction of the event fruit fly where a team of five bananas vs A different team in a team race to get to the finish line there is allowed ankle taps, shoves, and fist fights but the thing that was not allowed was showboating the team will get eliminated for any celebration on the track

another famous moment in Banana Olympics history was the time Timmy the Banana won gold in the high flop by slipping over the bar.

Top Banana Olympics countries[edit]

1. Balana - Balana is the top countries in the Banana Olympics by winning 23 gold, 16 silver, and 32 bronze

2. United States of America - United States of America have won 18 gold, 15 silver, and 42 bronze

3. Jamaica - drugs are allowed in the Banana Olympics this is why Jamaica has won 17 gold, 17 silver, and 22 bronze

4. Oman - oh! man there Oman has got 12 gold, 23 silver, and 29 bronze

5. Canada - the Eh's (as they like to call themselves) have won 9 gold, 14 silver, and 12 bronze
