[edit] NEWF Currency

The NEWF is the official currency of Newfoundland and Bogota. It is not an actual coin, but in fact a halibut, or cod on a stick. One halibut (1$ NEWF) is equal to 3.14 pi or 1$ (CDN). One cod (3$ NEWF) is equal to three halibut.

[edit] History

The Peoples Republic of Bogota was formed in 1996 when 18 sailors from Newfoundland got lost and crashed on the island. Instead of calling for help, the Newfies decided to form a new country. None of them spoke English or French, however they did decide to include the two languages as official to encourage foreign investment. What they got was war with Newfoundland and Canada in 1998. After successfully defending their island without any casualties, they decided to annex Prince Edward Island. After a long drawn out war, the 18 man army of Bogota was defeated (again however, with no casualties). Since the Bogota-Canuck war, the Bogotans have lived in peace, growing Corn,Sapplefeed and cheese as well as fishing for food.

[edit] Cultur
