10,000 years ago their robot forms fought in an epic battle, and after 1,000 years of no victor, the heavenly beings got tired of the fighting and sealed them away, deconstructed them to human form, and sent them as humans to earth. Thats when they decided to use their abilities together instead of trying to find out who was greater. During the discovery album recording, the infamous fateful accident in the computer on September 9th, 1999 at 9:09, released the robotic duo from the heavens and combined with their human forms, becoming the robotic duo we know today as none other than: Daft Punk.
Many people have the misconception that Daft Punk are French. They are only in fact half French. They are also half Smurf. Apart from the drummer, who is completely Smurf. Can't you tell? He's short isn't he? They came together after the collapse of the Soviet Union, fleeing to France to escape poverty and to learn foreign languages. After a tragic accident involving their synthesizer and some dynamite, they became half robot aswell. Thus, they are three halves something.

Upon arriving in France and realizing that French is a complete waste of time, they turned to the only kind of music where singing is also a waste of time - House. A few years later, after learning a little English, they released the groundbreakingly lyrical and heartfelt "Around The World". (Many fans have affectionately nicknamed the song XTIN)
