Double V is similar to the Double U in that it is one of the most unnecessary letters in the Alphabet. However, the primary difference is that it is sharper, and therefore more dangerous, or dangeresque, and is such preferred over the more blunt Double U. If someone, armed with a Double V, approaches you with malicious intent, it is encouraged that you counter with your Infinity sign or lemniscate. Yes, that's the "sideways eight", |\|0OB5. In this way, you may hopefully catch the pointy ends of the Double V in the rings of your lemniscate, thus rendering the attacker harmless. As such, the letters of Infinity and Double V occur at very opposite ends of the Alpha-Numeric spectrum.

Double V was a ligature created by Calvin Klein in 1925, fifteen years after World War VI.
