Europa

Europa is a moon of Jupiter that has water underneath its ice. It is under the control of unelected eurocrats from the European Union, and has been colonised with surplus swivel servants from Brussels because of environmentalists' objections to launching them all into the Sun.

The official currency of Europa is the evil euro and unprecedented quantities of French bread and pastry are being launched into orbit with European Ariane 1 rockets in order to supply the fledgling colony.

Europa is the closest moon to Io, but they do not like each other very much. Europa occasionally rams Io and in return Io explodes in furious anger, unleashing its massive volcanos. Ganymede keeps telling them to pack it in and stop being so childish, but Callisto enjoys it usually telling Ganymede to stop being such a spoil sport.

Jupiter's massive magnetic field keeps these young and restless teenage moons in order.

Recently, Io and Europa have been behaving a lot better recently. The Hubble Space Telescope has been monitoring them for quite some time now and everything seems fairly quiet.

NASA had wanted to get there to explore Europa's oceans, but the U.S. Goverment would not let them. They were worried it may contain life more intelligent then them. Because of this, the government has cut NASA's yearly budget from 5 billion dollars to 4 dollars and 48 Ccnts ... and also a ham sandwich.

Exploration tasks have thus fallen to the Europeans, as America dedicates its few and meager resources into attempting to build a space shuttle that doesn't explode like a burning Ford Pinto.
