Ex nihilo (Italian for out of my ass), is the process of creating something from nothing at all (euphemistically, from one's ass).

[edit] Pre-Modern Ex Nihilo Creation

The first known act of ex nihilo creation was in 4004 BCE by the LORD God Jehovah. Because of an impending six day deadline imposed by bureaucratic higher-ups, God was forced to literally make stuff up willy-nilly, with little or no foresight or planning. Many of the current woes of our fucked-up world is a direct result of this rush-job (i.e., out of God's Ass) mentality.

[edit] Post-Modern Ex Nihilo Creation

In today's post-modern futuristic civilization, ex nihilo creation has become standard operating procedure for virtually all human-driven undertakings. Even though it is generally believed that it is physically impossible to effortlessly magick any desired thing from out of the void, most businesses are in the habit of making it appear that they do just that, in order not to lose valuable market share. The inevitable end result, of course, tends to look more like they extruded it out of their collective asses.

[edit] Post-Post-Modern Ex Nihilo Creation

Usually when somebody is suddenly put under extreme pressure to expand on something that he wasn't ready to continue with he will start to panic and will just throw in any old thing just to make it look like there is something of real import there because the pressure becomes unbearable so he starts to make all kinds of procedural mistakes and whatnot so this process is so grossly unfair because proper creativity takes time dammit and so he begins to feel the flames of fiery fires nipping at the nape of his neck and how do you think that makes him feel, seeing that he is about to snap under the relentless pressure of the horrid things closing in on him like an overblown metaphor and he simply doesn't have time to put the necessary finishing touches on
