The Fascism Vandal (also known as "Wikis are fascism", abbreviated TFV) is a wiki vandal who, unsurprisingly, vandalizes in the manner of a total Nazi.

Rationale[edit]

The Fascism Vandal seems to believe that a wiki is, in its nature, fascist, and that this needs to be regularly and disruptively announced by the imposition of strict NPOV, excessive use of proper grammars, and through occasionally leaving a picture of Benito Mussolini on a page. The vandal also appears to be a complete nutjob, frequently referring to himself in the third person, although this could simply be an excuse to use the word "fascism" as many times as possible. The fact this this also seems to interfere with his grammatical abilities, on which he prides himself graetlygreaty, could be taken as a possible sign of insanity. Though, after reading this, can you really say he isn't?

Modus Operandi[edit]

Originally TFV vandalized pages by simply posting a picture of Mussolini, (invariably Image:Mussolini.jpg) with the caption "This is supposed to be fascist and repressive! It's not! Waa!" As of late, however, he has attempted to destroy as many "single =" headers as possible and force people to spell properlieproperly.

Account Names[edit]

The account name of this vandal is invariably some sort of phrase using the word fascism. Some examples:

  • Wikis are fascism.
  • This is supposed to be fascism!
  • I can't believe it's not fascism!
  • The Fascism Vandal demands you join Wikipedia! Wikis are fascist by nature!
  • Fascism works better when transported throughout a wiki on wheels. Thus, the Fascism Vandal supports fascism on wheels!
  • Jimbo Wales.

Fascism Vandal[edit]

Wikis are Fascism

The Fascism Vandal is the pseudonym of an editor of various wikis, most notably Uncyclopedia. He has been referred to as a vandal due to the nature of his edits, which have been described as being against the nature of Uncyclopedia.[1]

History of the Fascism Vandal[edit]

The history of the Fascism Vandal prior to the founding of Uncyclopedia[edit]

Wikis are Fascism

The Fascism Vandal was originally an administrator on the English Wikipedia. The Fascism Vandal had a history of enforcing neutral point of view, (abbreviated NPOV); keeping bad grammar off the pages of Wikipedia and citing sources. Unfortunately, the administrators of Wikipedia, whom the Fascism Vandal has declared to be "cowardly fools", were unwilling to assist the Fascism Vandal in his quest to launch a lawsuit against an anonymous editor who vandalized the article on Adolf Hitler. Jimbo Wales personally opted to ban the Fascism Vandal, and created a rule that no legal threats could be made by users of Wikipedia against other users of Wikipedia.[2]

Any other accounts of the events described in the above paragraph are the results of sabotage by the user commonly known as the "Communist Vandal", whom the Fascism Vandal has stated is an "evil arsehole who is opposed to Fascism", citing past antagonism between Communist and Fascist ideology as well as the nature of the edits made by the "Communist Vandal" on the English Wikipedia.[2]

The Fascism Vandal is recorded to have fallen into a period of depression after being banned from editing Wikipedia. The Fascism Vandal was unwilling to suffer the indignity of using an additional account, a technique commonly referred to as using a "sockpuppet", nor was he willing to edit under the identity of only his IP number. The Fascism Vandal was forced to disguise himself as a member of the teenage subculture commonly referred to as "emo" in order to make contact with other people, and for three years the Fascism Vandal used this guise to introduce correct spelling and punctuation to teenagers to prepare them for adulthood.[2]

Any other accounts of the events described in the above paragraph, including and especially claims that the Fascism Vandal himself joined the "Emo" subculture in truth as well as in appearance, are the results of sabotage by the user commonly known as the "Communist Vandal", whom the Fascism Vandal has stated is an "evil arsehole who is opposed to Fascism", citing past antagonism between Communist and Fascist ideology as well as the nature of the edits made by the "Communist Vandal" on the English Wikipedia.[2] The Fascism Vandal would also like to state that any and all accounts of the "Emo" subculture is connected with feelings of depression and suicidal tendencies are the results of original research or unverified claims, which should not be considered legitimate unless they are cited by a source, preferably with inline citations.[3]

The history of the Fascism Vandal following the founding of Uncyclopedia[edit]

Wikis are Fascism

In the year dated 2005 in western calendars, the Fascism Vandal became aware of the existence of a wiki-based website known as Uncyclopedia which was, in the opinion of the Fascism Vandal, a "clear and blatant parody of Wikipedia". For unknown reasons, Uncyclopedia was claiming that it was being parodied by Wikipedia, while it appeared to the Fascism Vandal that the opposite was true. When the Fascism Vandal attempted to correct the matter in a civil manner by presenting the evidence on Uncyclopedia's forum, the administrators of Uncyclopedia banned him. In the eyes of the Fascism Vandal, these actions were proof that Uncyclopedia had been corrupted completely, and required the dictatorship of a strong editor to keep the website from destruction. The next day, the Fascism Vandal resolved that he would dedicate himself to rewriting all of the pages on Uncyclopedia to restore factual accuracy, correct grammar and neutral point of view. The Fascism Vandal declared, in a video he sent to the founder of Uncyclopedia, that he would consider Wikipedia:Ignore all rules to be justification of any and all actions he took in following this goal.[2]

Any other accounts of the events described in the above paragraph, including and especially claims that the Fascism Vandal "Could not get a joke", are the results of sabotage by the user commonly known as the "Communist Vandal", whom the Fascism Vandal has stated is an "evil arsehole who is opposed to Fascism", citing past antagonism between Communist and Fascist ideology as well as the nature of the edits made by the "Communist Vandal" on the English Wikipedia.[2]

As of Feburary 2007, the Fascism Vandal has continued to edit Uncyclopedia in accordance with the mission he has given himself. The Fascism Vandal is also believed to have edited Wookieepedia and Memory Alpha, wikis dedicated to Star Wars and Star Trek respectively. In a 2006 interview, the Fascism Vandal refused to explicitly confirm this, although he did state that he was "...disgusted by the manner in which Memory Alpha and Wookieepedia abused fair use tags for images and were almost universally written in an in-universe perspective," which he claimed "would leave readers unclear on what in the article is factual and what is derived from a work of fiction." Further criticism was also made against Wookieepedia's article on SuperShadow, which the Fascism Vandal claimed was not written with a neutral point of view.[2]

Any other accounts of the events described in the above paragraph, including and especially claims that the Fascism Vandal has been for a period of time left under the impression that the events depicted in Star Trek and Star Wars were real, are the results of sabotage by the user commonly known as the "Communist Vandal", whom the Fascism Vandal has stated is an "evil arsehole who is opposed to Fascism", citing past antagonism between Communist and Fascist ideology as well as the nature of the edits made by the "Communist Vandal" on the English Wikipedia.[2]

Nuvola apps important.svg Article written in the style of its subject
This article is funny because it is written in the real or imagined writing style of its subject. If you do not find it funny, it is probably because you are an ignorant cultural philistine who does not recognise this without explanation. If you still do not find the article funny, that is probably because a joke loses its humor when it is explained. If you hadn't been so ignorant, then you wouldn't have needed to have the joke explained to you in the first place.
