Federation of Planets and Third World Nations

The Federation of Planets and Third World Nations is the product of a merger between the Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and Third World, Inc., after the former two went bankrupt.

In a desperate attempt to find a cure for the Slashdot Effect, the Klingons and Federation decided to try a new tactic: travelling forward in time to prevent the existence of the Imperial system. Results looked promising, but both organisations ran out of funding before the projects could be completed. Analysts speculate it may have had something to do with the Federation's recent 'I like to eat babies' ad campaign, which had been criticised heavily, since no one eats babies after Labour Day.

They originally planned to make use of heavy borrowing from the World Bank to pay off their spiralling debt, but TWI stepped in and offered to cancel it out with their own debt. The Wookiees were initially confused by the logic, but relented after 3 years of negotiations.

Today, the Federation of Planets and Third World Nations is the largest music label on the planet, possibly due to their practice of paying artists in kitten-bongs. They operate out of two headquarters, located in Ghana and Sector 8 of the Beta Quadrant.

The FPTWN is the poorest corporation in both the known and unknown universes, having bought every other company's debts early on in a risky business move that evidently did not pay off. As a result, its citizemployees have had to resort to eating non-corporeal food, and the company recently declared integrity to be its staple food. The Federation makes a small amount of revenue each year selling Roddenberries.
