Gloop

The best way to describe gloop is to feel it. Ironically, the only way it is possible to feel it is to describe to the old man guarding the bridge game what it is like. Only then can you play him at bridge, and only after you beat him is it possible to cross. To this day nobody knows what gloop feels, tastes or smells like (not even the old man; he has never beaten himself at bridge), so it is a mystery how we managed to stuff gnomes full of it to play the game of Binomial Expansion.

We also don't know how good the old man is at bridge.
