Half way between Melbourne and Sydney

Rumoured to be colder than a well digger's arse in autumn, half way between Melbourne and Sydney is the location of Australia's secret services, intelligence agencies, spooks, frenetic police, and counter intelligence agencies headquarters: this could make this the dumbest place in Australia by some people's evaluations or possibly the smartest depending on your I.Q.

This mistake of nature was created from a dummy spit by Sydney and Melbourne over who was to be the capital and now they are both losers.

By accident, some other people managed to find there way there as well, I'm not where they originated from but it is rumoured that they arrived in Camberra after the Sydney council expelled them for stealing sheep from rich landowners.

Large strange sculptures emerging from the ground at this location have people in suits who are not members of the organisations above. It is rumoured they are paid a lot of money to sit in their suits and say stupid things to pass the time away, and lots of time is taken on boring Oztralyan television explaining all of the bodily functions of the people in suits.

For anyone geographically or cartographically challenged (from the center of the universe, with their ruler's sense of immense wisdom of talking about Canada and Mexico having the same border (!)) this location sometime accidentally emerges on some maps as Canberra, but don't count on it! The intelligence community probably deny its existence at the time that those guys in suits claim its the center of the known universe (where are you Douglas Adams when we need you?)

[edit] Attractions in Canberra include:

Lake Burley Griffin Picnickers frequent this spot and leave their calling card by dumping their litter into the lake, hoping to feed the fabled magical swamp monster.

Parliament House Watch politicians try and outdo each other by slinging slurs and their lunch at the opposing party. If Question Time isn't in session drive to the nearest Primary School instead during lunch hour.
