Hangin' With Mr. Cooper

Hangin' With Mr. Cooper was a popular television sitcom that aired (on ABC) from 1992 to 1997. The show focused on a tightly-knit household of negroes in Oakland, California. Originaly marketed as a sassy take on the tribulations of inner city life in an early 1990s Los Angeles suburb, plummetting ratings led to an increased focus on the extracurricular indulgences of substitute public school teacher and part time rock star Michael "Mr Cooper" Hutchence, and his eventual hotel room lynching, aged 37.
