International Day of Redheads

The International Day of Redheads, in Czech language Mezinárodní den zrzek, is a feast celebrated all over the World on the 12th September, in leap years on 13th September.

The movability of this feast is not defined by any religious or political authority nor it has an origin in a custom. The day is defined mathematically. It is calculated from the Pi-day (Pee day), the day of the Ludolph's number, which is 14th of March or 3.14. A half of a year to the Pi Day was added and this is how The International Redhead Day has been set.

14th march. is the 73rd day of the year (in leap years it is the 74th day). Then 183 days, which is a rounded half of a year) have been added and the result is 257th day of the year, or 12th September (in leap years 13th September).

Mathematical formula: 73 + 183 = 257

• Notice that the 8th power of 2 is one byte, the basic element in IT.
• Notice that 257 is a prime number. It is generally known that every important number in the Czech Republic is a prime number.

The first reason of the feast is, that there is a beauty of mathematics hidden in the calculation of the day.

The second reason is, that redhead girls are beautiful, passionate, and unusual, and they have not had their feast yet. Which was just unjustifiable!

There are feasts of the saints, coal-miners, and mothers, there are Days of the Earth, there is the Day of Book, even the Month of the Security on the Roads a also there used to be the Month of the Czechoslovak-soviet friendship (what a shame!), however redhead girls had always got a raw deal. That is why, since the year 2008, on the initiative of the Scientific Team of Necyclopedia [2] the International Day of Redheads has been constituted. In 2008, it is 13th September.
