Internet Humor
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
Internet humor is the latest, and possibly greatest, form of humor.
[edit] Origins
Some people say that Internet humor began on the Internet, some unspecified time after it was invented. Those people are absolute loonies and have retired to a nice island in the Caribbean. Internet humor is really a mathematically occurring construct, which resulted from James Joyce's invention of the Quark. Nobody really understands the mathematics behind this yet; it was discovered by accident by Green while looking at Pornography. Really, it's quite disgusting, you'd be sorry if I told you.
[edit] Examples
Probably the easiest way to describe Internet Humor is to provide a few examples:
Example 1:
<user1> I have trouble remembering things <user1> even simple things like birthdays <user1> I hate myself :( <Badass69> Punch yourself in the nuts every time you forget something. <user1> um... no? :(
Example 2:
<itchy> wow, my face itches a lot <iHumorful> chew it off <itchy> um... no
It should be fairly obvious from the two examples that the entire purpose of Internet Humor is to make the other person in the conversation say "um...no", or some variation thereof. Researchers are very concerned that internet humor could die out rather rapidly if people simply started saying something other than "um...no" when they fail to come up with a witty retort.
