Interstate 476 is an unnecessarily long Interstate highway in Pennsylvania. Originally, it was supposed to only be a loop around Philly. But then after everyone watched The Office, and after getting approval from the King of Prussia, it got extended all the way to Scranton. There seems to be an obsession with pink and purple-colored signs here for some reason.
The existence of I-476 is sometimes used as an argument to disprove the existence of I-99 .
