A well known Counter Strike Source player made his debut with the name "Poojoo." As his fame grew through the gaming community, the word joob started to be used after nearly a century of extinction. A joob is a common reference to a Jewish noob. the word joob dates back to 17th century New Hampshire where it is believed that a local Amish who was traveling through laughed at the Jewish noobs and because there were so many he shortened it to joob to enable himself to be able to ridicule them all at once.

The word joob can be spelled in many different ways, these include j00b, j0obz0rD, jooB, and j00bulation. The word joob has close meaning to the following noob nooblet, nUb, knob cheese, David Bowie, and Frodo Nublins. It is to be used as an insult of the highest standard in the video gaming world...for example : Zom6 j00 R t3h fi1thy jo0b!!1!one1! This can be roughly translated to Oh my goodness, you are a dirty loser
To take this concept a step further, if for example, a über pwning Counter Strike player who is ranked at the top of the server, is getting really pissed off by a n00b who is constantly team flashing. The über pwner, would use the above phrase to insult the n00b, who will eventually leave the server with fear of being team killed.
