Libertarianz
From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia.
The Libertarianz are a fire-brand terrorist organisation, currently based in New Zealand. Their membership is an anarchist collective of radical Fruitarians, largely comprising expatriated ethnic Africans, and their stated raison d'etre is stopping the consumption of animals, or living plant matter. Their motto is 'Every man is an island'.
[edit] History
Founded in 1995 by Non-Chief Ian Fraser, the Liberian Fruitarians, as they were then known, met in secret enclaves across the country of New Zealand, plotting to disrupt and spoil food supply networks across the country. Typical early Liberian Fruitarian meetings were commenced with a ritual sacrifice to their spiritual leader Ayn Rand, followed by hours of ranting and argument.
In 1997, leadership of the organisation was seized by Non-Leader Lindsay Perigo, a gnarled and small yet deceptively powerful hobbit, who suggested the rebranding of the Liberian Fruitarians as the 'Libertarians'. The 'z' was added shortly thereafter for 'zest'. This period of their history was characterised by a fundamental shift in focus, as Perigo convinced the secret organisation of the futility of their current goals. His vision was that New Zealand would never be receptive to a Fruitarian economy, and as such they had to strive for separation from their adopted homeland.
The 'Libertarianz' commenced the attempted separation immediately, acquiring vast stockpiles of chainsaws, spades, and sundry excavation equipment. Just before dawn on 13 September, 1999, Operation 'Liberation' began, with a massive subterranean excavation near Christchurch's Banks Peninsula. After three years of tireless effort, Perigo came to the realisation that the creation of a separate Libertarianz homeland was not practicable using their current tactic.
After Perigo was deposed in a ruthless move by the party's current leadership, he turned his energies to the establishment of an online community, SOLO, devoted to the practice of self-love.
[edit] Ayn Rand Worship
Libertarianz perform ritual sacrifice annually, measuring "freedom" and "progress" by increases in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and then annhilating the group in society they perceive as being the most "un-objective" impediments to economic growth. Such groups include Trade Unions, solo mothers, and anyone who believes in helping anyone else.
There is a sect of Libertarianz known as "F.A. Hayek Worshippers", who believe that although the market is completely just the recipients of its fruits are not any more deserving of them than are the losers. Many Libertarianz believe this to be a dangerous heresy. In the words of Lindsay Perigo, "my slaves are destined to slavery because they were born lazy; if they had of been hardworking like my daddy they'd be rich like me."
[edit] Future
Due to the clandestine nature of the organisation, little is known of their actual plans to realise a truly Fruitarian homeland, however much 'counter-intelligence' is produced from various Libertarianz cell members, attempting to dull the senses and intellects of everyday New Zealanders with perilously boring diatribes and fawning homilies to Ayn Rand. Lamentably, their true motives remain hidden.
