Malayalam (pronounced as Malayalam in English, Mal'AllaH'laM in Arabic, Tamil in French and mallyaali in Hindi) Malayalam is unofficialy the official language of Kerala popularly known as God's Own Country. There are about 55 million Malayalam speakers in the world. Malayalam is also recognised as the second official language of Uganda. It is considered as the easiest language to master for all, expect for Malayalis. Malayalam is also a palindrome, which means that any sentence can be said backwards and it will sound the same (but have a different meaning). This sentence is not true because it was written by a retarded American who doesn't know the meaning of Malayalam. This sentence was written by a Malayali, so STFU noobs. Oh, back on topic...

Malayalam was created from Tamil and Sanksrit when one afternoon, the creator of Sanksrit grammar Panini (also known for creating a type of bread bearing his name) and the creator of Tamil grammar Tolkapiyar (makes excellent coffee) got really trashed on Toddy. The language was created as a practical joke, and neither party expected it to actually be taken up by the masses. Malayalam is also thought to be "Tamil v2.0" by some people because it has more features and less bugs. Although this is quite subjective. The alphabet was inspired by large doses of LSD. Two great revolutions have occured in the history of Malayalam language. One in 1980, resulted in creating DrumDrum Malayalam spoken in the capital DrumDrum of Kerala and Co-aching Malayalam spoken in Cochin, financial capital. Another revolution occured in 2001 resulting in the creation of 16 different types of Malayalam for each area. The people of Kerala have now started speaking Chinese as a common link language.

Malayalam literature is one of the richest in the world. It is a very little known fact that the second version of Kamasutra was written by Kunjalikutty after his experiences in an Icecream store. (great grandson of Vastyayana later converted to Islam). Other main works in Malayalam are virtual rip-offs of English works. M.A.Baby is now regarded by most as the most prolific writer in Malayalam. "Rajaravi Varmayude rahasyam" ( The Rajaravi Varma Code )by M.A.Baby was a hot seller in recent times. The story deals with the conspiracy that the present Chief Minister V.S.Achchuthanathan is a descendent of Karl Marx. Clues to the story lies in the famous painting of sakuntala by Rajaravi Varma, hence the name 'The Ravi Varma Code'

Kerala has a very successful film industry with around 30 films being made every year, due to the existance of Chuck Norris. There are no cinema theatres in the entire state and the films are exclusively released on CDs and DVDs. These are sold by hawkers and pedlars on the street. The film association called ACHCHA, the acronym of which still not deciphered yet. The main actresses are Navya Madhavan, Kavya Nair, Kaliyamkattu neele. The most successful malayali actress is Shakila. She was awarded the Oscars for her performance in Kinnarathumbi. The Television viewers in Kerala was selected for 1995 Nobel Peace Price for watching serials, and later won the UN Peace price for watching the serial "Kadammootha Kathanar" (Bankrupt Priest) in 2001.
The guinnes book of world records for a star acting in the most number of films is still held by Late Prem Nazir (7,87,000,436 Films in Malayalam, English, Tamil, Kannada, Tulu, Konkani, Spanish, Bengali, ThirOntharam malayalam, Hindi, Sanskrit, Russian, Prussian, Persian, Arabic, Kunnamkulam bhasha to name a few). He saw to it that the record is unerasable by guinness book officials.
Who is the greatest actor in the whole world? Mohanlal or Mammootty! As there ain't a single factory(Actually there are three factories, two of which are locked out) in the entire state this debate has employed the youth and oldies alike for the past two decades. This debate unfortunately was settled some Onams back with a faceoff between the superstars. The tussle was between Mohanlal's Raavana prabhu and Mamooty's Rakshasa Raajavu and the winner that year was Shakeela's Rakshasa Rani. Shakeela rocks.

One of Kerala's finest exports is the Adals only movies. Without these movies X & Y grade theaters in India's finest metros would now have turned into restaurants and malls. These movies approach film making in a very classical way, which means all the movies will look and feel the same, its just different people trying to render it as best as they can.
The main protagonist is usually a very wronged vedi( a gunshot!) who the male members are groping at all the time. They indulge in some serious sexy groping, all with the women sometimes losing their jawlis but keeping their tight cycling shorts on.
Shakeela one of the leading exponents of this art form used to be so busy making these movies it is rumored that she barely had time to put on clothes between movies.
