Purmerend

Purmerend is a city designed in the late 1960s for Amish people who wanted to return to Europe. Currently about 5 million Amish live in Purmerend and less and less Amish stay in the US. The Purmerend area is the size of Belgium and therefore the Amish have much more space then in the US.

Purmerend is surrounded by mountains, and it's very difficult to get there, only the surrounding cities Alkmaar, Edam, Zaandam and Wormerveer have easy acces to Purmerend. That's why they were the only cities who attacked when oil was found, the other cities in Holland just couldn't be bothered.
[edit] Conflicts
In 1991, oil was found in Purmerend and neighbouring towns like Alkmaar, Edam and Wormerveer invaded Purmerend as a result. This caused the first oil war.
The city decided to return the favour and they set the town of Edam on fire. Mad Edammers came back to Purmerend with axes and murdered some of the Purmerenders, leaving a bloodbath.
Still, this area is unsave for tourists, since several journalist have already been beheaded by angry Zaandammers from Zaandam, a town south of Purmerend.
It is advised to go there with an insider, someone who knows the area and someone who is in possession of "paard en wagen" or "horse and carriage" and they should preferably be armed. Still, a save return is not guaranteed.
Due to the first oil war, a lot of people from Purmerend turned insane, we can see some of the horrid effects when watching the Martin En Nicky Show. Check it out on youtube and be VERY afraid...

Purmerend is ruled by the great Boy George, this muscular man, has shown great leadership during the first oil war and has therefore received a record deal from the Queen of Holland, "Albert Verlinde", the terms of which demand he establish himself in direct competition with David Bowie and Brooke Burgess for most metrosexual man alive.
