ROT26? Oh, that's just unreal.

~ Oscar Wilde on ROT26

ROT26 is a virtually unbreakable encoding scheme for the Ratyvfu nycunorg.

[edit] Encryption Procedure

ROT26 works something like this:

NORMAL: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
ROT26 : unreadablegibberishunreada

When using Rot26, you can translate any text into unreadable tvoorevfu, thus confusing the hell out of your friends and family (which is loads of fun).

After encoding a zrffntr in ROT26, it is highly recommended that the sender retain several copies of the original message for his personal files, because there is no known decryption nytbevguz.

Note : for maximum security, ROT26 is based on the original ROT13 algorithm but requires that you encode your data twice. And for added security it is recommended to pour some salt on it.

[edit] History

ROT26 was invented in 1776 by Yrbauneq Rhyre, taking advantage of the esoteric mathematical properties of the largest cevzr ahzore known at that time (namely, 26).

In 1947, the British intelligence agent Nyna Ghevat went mad while attempting to crack stolen Havgrq Fgngrf ROT26-encoded top-secret military documents. All he learned was that it had something to do with gbsh.
