Rudoltice (Czech: Rudoltice, Slovak: Rudoltice, French: Rudoltice, Sweden: Rudoltice, Spain: Rudoltice, Latin: Rudolphivilla, Hebrew: Rudoltice, Italian: Rudoltice, Portuguese: Rudoltice, Irish: Rudoltice, Polish: Rudoltice, Russian: Rudoltice, Japanese: Rudoltice, German: - Rudolf's Village) is a small beautifull village in Czech Republic in North-east Bohemia near borders with Moravia and Silesia and Poland in Sudetenland.
Rudoltice is very modern village. There are telephones, electricity, internet, water pipeline, a shop, three or four pubs, two or four ponds, a church, a churchyard, a train station on railway Praha - Olomouc, road, bus stops, basic school, nursery school etc. etc. etc. in Rudoltice. GPS coordinate for possible rocket atack is 31°31′N 34°27′E, GPS coordinate for visiting this village is 49°54'3"N 16°33'59"E. There live more than 1501 people in Rudoltice. (2009)
The history of Rudoltice is very glourious. Rudoltice was founded in the half of 13th century. Although the history of Rudoltice is very rich and glourious and other cities - for example New York, Chicago, Brasilia, Astana, San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Toronto, Quebec, Sydney, Auckland etc. - are enveing that (note: Chachachachachachacha!), more things of Rudoltice's history aren't known, becouse any historian didn't write anything about Rudoltice's history. Fortunately few legends preserved. Rudoltice old men and greybards have remembered the legends. They've met in Rudoltice pub and they've told that.
The Legends about Rudoltice
Mr. Loskot's remembered one legend O zakopaném pokladu:
- Bylo to strašně dávno. Někdo prý kopal pod lípou u rybníka a vykopal skleněné střepy. Ty střepy byly z období Starého Říma. To je důkaz, že naše vesnice existovala už v době Starého Říma.
- Mr. Stránský haven't remembered any legend, but he's remembered this: Jednou sem jel na motorce kolem rybníka, a zrouna dyž sem jel kolem tej lípy, tak sem píchnul. Ňákej debil tam nechal na zemi skleněný střepy.
Demography and building
Mr. exmayor Kolomý built a lot of accommodation unit in Rudoltice. The number of population grew up so much: from 884 in 1994 to approximately 1537 in 2009. Mr. Kolomý wanted to save money, so he built at least as possible big flats and as much as possible small flats.
The citiezen of other villages enveing the small flats to Rudoltice. They've sayed the flats are rabbit hutchs (They've only grumbed and dehonestationed that, but live there and paying lease they've not wanted. Let the reader of this article make himself image about them.) The new and new accommodation units are built in Rudoltice in locality Na Zámečku and private familly houses are also planed. If atom bomb or asteroid doesn't fall to Rudoltice (and if fax audit doesn't come to local authority), the number of population will be bigger (around 500 - 1000). Connecting with Lanškroun (the nearest town) is waited for. (When Lanškroun loss his name and when Lanškroun pay off Rudoltice's debts.)
There is a prominent economy in Rudoltice. Rudoltice is self-sufficient in many brunchs and raw material. Muck for example. In local cowshed there is a lot of muck, so local cowshed doesn't need import that. Into reverse Zemědělské družstvo Zámecký vrch (a cowshed in Rudoltice) has a quanta of muck and it can dung a field by muck. Really! How I
said wrote, foundation of Rudoltice economy is local cowshed. When the cowshed starts paying for water, electricity, petrol and gas, it save interests and it will have much hot money and it can grow grain except potatoes.
A big part of women from Rudoltice works in AVX factory in Lanškroun and they have very important job. (Cleaners are most popular than Member of Parliament - in Czech Republic.) Unemployment doesn't exist in Rudoltice. (Nobody count in unemployment.)
There is a state road called I/43 in Rudoltice. It connencts Brno and Poland. Becouse it connects Brno and Poland, a lot of car with writing B on SPZ and with skies on their roofs or in their boots, eventually without skies, when their skies are stolen; drive trough Rudoltice, espacialy in winter. They (the cars) head north, eventually they come back to south; for example, when the pope John Paul II. died, the buses with some saint picture at the bottom went through Rudoltice to Rome to funeral. They've gone past Rudoltice reckless, although there is many first-class touristic attractions (4 pubs for example). Rudoltice lies on high rail
roadway between Česká Třebová and Přerov. When two Pendolinos, pull out from Praha and Ostrava in the same time, they must miss each other in Rudoltice, becouse Rudoltice lies in the center of interval between Ostrava and Praha; but becouse Pendolinos've gone regularly irregularly, nobody's seen it.
The one-rail-railway called 272 passes in Rudoltice too. Unfortunately it passes to
very little important town called Lanškroun, but persons've gone to Lanškroun by bus rather than by train. The new asphalt road was made in Rudoltice in summer 2008. Asphaltization passed off any problembs, becouse any Rudoltice's citizen was not flooded by asphalt.
There is a rich social life in Rudoltice. Welcome babies is organized in Rudoltice. School sometimes organize some concert or some theatrical performance. (Note: Somebody's sometimes gone there.) A disco is from time to time at Rudoltice football pitch. But that's not all. Residents from Rudoltice have often attended tremendous amount of social programmes, variety shows and projection films.
Clubs, associations etc.
There is a rich cultur and spolkový life. There is a club of voluntary firemen in Rudoltice. The firemen've already looked forward to each fire, becouse they can run out of their wifes and celebrate arrival of profesional firmen in pub. They regurarly take part in a firemen's competitions. Once on a competition put and put and put out a fire, but they at once saw, so they forgot turn on the water. (Never mind! Není důležité vyhrát, ale zúčastnit se.)
Rudoltice customs and traditions
Rudoltice custom is celebrating of Christmas for example. (Note: Christmas is religious holiday on the end of December.) Citizens from Rudoltice practise age-old Christmas customs like freing a carp for ceremonial dinner, baking confections, giving presents to family etc. Celebrating of pope St. Silvester's Day is Rudoltice long tradition: Citizen's bought crackers, flares, rockets, percussion cups and they always have launched that in the night from 31st December to 1st January. A graceful Rudoltice custom is also imbibing an alcohol and broking the bottles on common lands.
Rudoltice citizen celebrates also Eastern. (Note: Eastern is Rudoltice movable feast in the spring.) Women've bought a lot of sweet and they've boiled eggs in a water and decorated them. Boys and men've weave pomlázka - a whip from willow sticks - and then they've gone door-to-door and beated women and girls and they've got from them the sweet and eggs. It is in Velikonoční pondělí - Easter Monday. A few citizen of Rudoltice observes next Rudoltice tradition - visiting catholic masses on Thursday, Friday, Suterday and Sunday. Nobody knows when and how this traditions originated. This is a demonstration of big oldness of this traditions and of folkloric importance of Rudoltice.
The most important sight is called Nový zámek u Rudoltic (Czech Nový zámek u Rudoltic, English The new castle near Rudoltice,
deutsch German ). At one time, mainly in the start of the 18th century, kníže Lichtenštejn (Liechtenstein) built that. Unfortunatelly it twice burned down shortly past complete the building, so the castle was teared down, but one small tower left. A Rudoltice St. Peter and Paul's church was built of the stone from this castle. The small tower, what left, decayed thank Communists in the 20th century.
Sale was in 2005. Rudoltice mayor Mr. Kolomý bidded 300 thousand Czech crowns (mainly 12 thousand USD in that time, but I'm not sure with this), he wanted make there a look out station, a restaurant and sightseeing trail in the basement. Zámeček bought some Lanškroun-city-architect Mr. MgA. Přemysl Kokeš (read Přemysl Kokeš), who offered one thousend Czech crowns (?40 USD?). Mr. Kokeš made there a look out station, a restaurant and sightseeing trail in the basement. Unfortunately Zámeček will be never a property of village Rudoltice; but when the Communism comeback to power, all will be otherwise, becouse there is 5 Communists in seven-member local authority. (KSČM is Czech communist
