Sam Mason is suicidal person and friend of Danny Phantom. She is not allowed in any clothing store because she would try to strangle herself with the coat hangers. That is why she wears the same clothes every day. Sam is also the mother of Danny Phantom's child but it died in the womb from an ice cream overdose.

Contrary to popular belief, Sam's uncle (on her father's side) is the infamous Charles Manson. This family tie may be where Sam's "Goth" side came from as her father told her about her estranged uncle when she was 8. Unable to repress this traumatising revelation, Sam decided to take out her despair on the world and thus, became a suicidal "Goth". Some of her friends however, have suggested she attend Suicidal Goths Anonymous meetings.

After Danny Phantom: The Animated Documentary Series was cancelled Sam had nowhere to go, so she turned to a the adult rated world despite being only 14. She stared in the adult movie Danny Phantom Gets Lucky and did a spread for PlayGuy Magazine Sam regrets this but has developed a fanbase of 50 year old men who want to do things unmentionable to her.
