[edit] History
Shane Jalkson and the Molexes, a group formed in the late sixties in Liverpool, England whose original line-up consisted of: their amazingly talented front man Shane Jalkson, guitarists Jimmy Page (who later left to join Led Zeppelin), and Angus Young (who later left to form AC/DC). The molexes had no bassist or drummer in the beginning. Instead, the bass and drum sounds were mimicked by mouth, (some say that this was the inspiration behind Jack Black's vocal guitar sound often heard in Tenacious D songs). This was until they began touring for their eponymous debut album in 1968. The Molexes then began to use an electronic fart machine as well as a new bassist David "Troll" Raucci, formerly of Trolloses and the Infortions. They toured for about a year before the album went quadruple platinum (that's four million copies sold, in case youre a total dumbass). in 1969, Shane Jalkson and the Molexes were invited to Woodstock to play for all the drugged out hippies and share the stage with classic rock legends such as Jimmi Hendrix, The Doors, and Hootie and the Blowfish. They all agreed to go, but a couple of weeks later when plans were being made to fly to the U.S. David "Troll" Raucci died of a heroin overdose. Jalkson walked into his hotel room and found him lying there all covered in fecal matter and doritos crumbs and a needle sticking out of his arm. Jimmy Page was all like "This band is cursed, mate. fuck this shit." and left. Angus young soon followed suit
[edit] The 70's
Shane Jalkson reformed the Molexes in 1970 with new members that included: Kirk Hammett of Metallica on lead guitar, and a couple other nobodies that need not be mentioned cause no one has ever heard of them. The sound of their music changed dramatically. instead of their old flowers and hippies routine they became the worlds first death metal band. They did alot of coke around that time and worshipped satan as well.
