- I agree with Mr. Anonymous Guy above, this isn't the best page on Uncyclopedia. In fact, this is bad, and whoever wrote it is Hitler. And now that I've won the flame war: I've written a completely new page for Futurama.
- But being bold seems so Wikipedia (or is it an old Human League song?), so I didn't want to cruelly wipe out all the work of dozens of anonymous posters. Therefore, I put it at User:Falcotron/Futurama. If anyone likes it, I'll put it here and cruelly wipe out all the work of dozens of anonymous posters. Well, not all of it. I left it in the bit about Al Gore's laser eyes.
- P.S., is the user subpage thing a good way to do this kind of thing? And if so, did I do it right? I couldn't find anything about it in the help. But then my grandmama always told me not to talk to the help; you can't trust them. They steal the silverware. --Falcotron 06:07, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rewrite
OK, since nobody responded, I decided to just go and blast the page. If my new version isn't funnier, you can bite my frozen metal ass and revert it. Or just make it better. Here are some suggestions, in hopes that many people are funnier than me:
- Come up with a better joke on Fry's name. Yeah, I thought about Frylock, but that seemed just as lame.
- There must be a better idea for the creators than Bart and Bongo. Or Stephen Colbert. I just don't know what it is.
- Is it too mean to Billy West? He's actually a very funny guy--plus, I don't want his daddy Adam West beating me up. But he seemed a good focus for the cancellation/uncancellation saga.
- The Famous Guests should be a list of people roughly as famous in the Uncyclopedia universe as Al Gore, Beastie Boys, the cast of Star Trek, etc. are in the real world (or at least the animated Fox world). Adding Oprah seemed to be going too far, but I don't know if Vanilla Ice and Barney really work.
By the way, I know Al Gore is the most played-out joke on Uncyclopedia, but remember: his daughter was a writer for Futurama, he played himself multiple times, and they recently did that quasi-promo for his movie. I tried replacing Al Gore with Dan Quayle, and with an obscure 19th century VP, and it didn't seem to work. --Falcotron 17:32, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

I like the new joke about Futurama being a band, but removing my incredibly lame joke about Frey being a misspelled Nordic God means there's no reason at all to call him Frey. So I changed it to Fraiaya (or however it was spelled) throughout the article. I also rewrote the first two paragraphs so the rest of the article makes sense. Something about the North Korean Islamic power metal band would probably fit well with the musical guests section later on, but I couldn't think of anything funny. --Falcotron 01:51, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

I reverted the new jokes, because they didn't work as written, but the ideas were good. For example:
- The new episodes will air in 3001, with Billy West playing all characters.
Then sadly dies of cancer a week later.

Yes, I am aware that I just bulldozed a long history of random people's work, but I felt the article needed a revamp. I'm not sure that I'm absolutely the best suitor for this job, so I took the beginning of my idea and posted it up as a "work in progress".
