Uncyclopedia:Copyrights
![]() |
This page is considered an ignorable policy on Uncyclopedia. |
Template:Shortcut There is currently no specific copyright policy on Uncyclopedia, but copyright notices are encouraged and blatant violations are discouraged. Try to post the copyright status along with the file uploaded, although this is not as much of a requirement as on Wikipedia.
Please do ask your curtains for more advice on this. Officially, everything is licensed under the Creative Commons BY-NoShit-SA 2.0 license.
Note: a Copyright is legally defined as the opposite of a Copyleft. Still, some say it is the opposite of a Copywrong. However, opponents of copywrong wonder how anyone can possibly copy wrong? Further, legal opinion is split on whether two copywrongs make a copyright. However, general consensus is that three Copylefts make a Copyright.
In certain countries (e.g. India) the suffix on copyright follows the closest compass rose direction that is directly to the right of the speaker. For instance you are in Bombay facing North. You would say Copyeast. And if you were facing south you would say copywest.
