Welcome to the revamped, renewed, refreshed, recycled, newly new and improved UN:IC!
    Now bought out by the GTC-ULLA

Please take a moment to read these rules and guidelines before starting.

Imperial Colonization is a usergroup that periodically chooses a new article to improve. It's a mass-cooperation similar in function to Wikipedia's "Collaborations" section. We focus on articles that require immediate attention, as judged by, well, us. See, our philosophy is that if we spent some time improving the articles that casual readers are most likely to come in contact with, or look up (such as Batman, Bruce Wayne, Creationism, Jew, God or Al Gore), more readers would stick around, make accounts, and become writers themselves. This is really about revitalizing the wiki, something we feel is a very noble cause.

In simple words: We steal, we kill, we destroy, we recreate!

Or something. Whatever.

Hey, apply here! (Membership requests)[edit]

Please do not add your name to the "Meet our staff" list, just add your name below. If you're approved, we'll add it to the big board for you. Also, please do not apply if you do not meet the new membership requirements.

If you want to apply using Her Majesty's Code, editor/user Buccaneer Batman would apply as:
*{{u|Buccaneer Batman}}
You, on the other hand, should apply as:·
*{{u|your username}}

Current conscripts[edit]

After you're approved and on the big board, add this template to your userpage. It's pretty, I know.

Once you're signed up, you have an indeterminate amount of time (probably about one to three weeks) to contribute to the current colonization; get a feel for how the process works. Then the real fun begins!

Note: Since Feb 01, 2010 all Monks who do not participate in the colonization that begins immediately after they apply will be removed from the list. (Don't worry, we'll let you know when it starts.)

Note: Those who have not participated in the last three colonizations will be retired, with regret. Anyone who votes for an article that's chosen for colonization and does not edit it (or, possibly, participate in its discussion) will be retired. However, should any retirees want to become active members, they may certainly reapply.

Our current Colonization[edit]

(Being voted on below.)

The current queue[edit]

Please see this before you nominate. Add as many nominations to the list as you like, within reason. Vote for any and all nominations you plan to participate in.

At the end of a colonization the top three to five nominations will be kept in the que and have their voting history reset. The other inactive/unpopular nominations will be removed, but may certainly be renominated. Past nominations/winners can be found in the archive.

Note from the Head Priest: I plan to help with whatever article is chosen.
Protocol for nominating an article for Colonization[edit]
  1. Add {{VoteCOTW}} to the top of the article
  2. Add the article to the bottom of The current queue using a level three header.
  3. Write Nom, or Nom and For, or something recognizably similar; give a short reason for your nomination; then sign.
Optional: Give an additional concept suggestion for how the article could be colonized.

Example: if your user name is "Buccaneer Batman" and you wanted to nominate the article Flying Bloodsucking Pirate for Imperial Colonization, you could write

=== [[Flying Bloodsucking Pirate]] ===
* '''Nom and For'''. Reading through the history of this article was like swimming through the Joker's toilet. More scary than funny and full of crap. I suggest we make this a spork by doing a takeoff of the Wikipedia article on '''Flying Bloodsucking Pirate'''. Buccaneer Batman 13:13, 01 February 2010

This month's Nominations for IC:[edit]

Add nominations below. (Add {{VoteCOTW}} to your nomination's page.)

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic[edit]

Score: +2
  • Nom and for - seriously. Adding random characters to any show IS NOT funny. Yes, Jesus Christ, the pope, O.J. and what more? This article is absolutely not funny and is just plain stupid. I tried to remove the shittiest parts but someone reverted this. I think this should be rewritten from scratch. My Little Pony is a nice subject for humo(u)r and it doesn't need to involve absolutely random things. Polisz.jpgPtokh-BenthonytchnoeHey! Symbol comment vote.svg Comment. MLP is one of the most divisive subjects on the Internet. I feel like, if we rewrite it, we're going to have half of us wanting to talk about how awful it is and the other half praising it mercilessly. Saberwolf116 (talk) 17:16, September 3, 2012 (UTC)
But whatever it would be about, adding random celebrities to the article about something is just below an acceptable level of humor. It's just plain stupid. I understand there will be hate toward this but an article on this subject can't be much worse... Polisz.jpgPtokh-BenthonytchnoeHey! For as I believe that we can make it funnier. In fact, let's make jokes about bronies fapping to horses. 800px-Flag of the Philippines svg.png | King Joseph® GiratinaOriginForme.png | Contact Goa Tse Clan Priest | Goa Tse Clan Sign Up | Rouge.gif | 10:08, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • Nom & For Thanks to a recent history of crap edits by anonymous users, this article has degenerated into a long, long, incoherent, long piece o' sh!t with tons of unnecessary images. —qzekrom.net16.net clicky! 21:51, October 14, 2012 (UTC)

Successful Conquests[edit]

Here are some cities that we had destroyed, only to be rebuilt in our vision. For each successful colonization in which you have participated from Al Gore through Dinosaur, Goa Tse grants you the right to add the appropriate template to your own user page. Huzzah!

Featured articles will be reviewed in regard to who earned half a Feature Article (FA) credit. (For historical discussions, see the talk page.)

We actually colonized Batman, but by suggestion and consensus made it Bruce Wayne

About two years later, this happened. Michael Jackson was featured on the 14th of June, 2012

Al Gore was voted one of the top 10 articles of all 2009
