Since then he hasn't been block for worth a darn except for FFS and other things. This guy used to get blocked on a regular basis sometimes even more than Cajek. • Nom and For Arguably their finest year to date, Wikia continue to raise the bar on defining what it means to be a Useless Gobshite.   Depends on how you define ownership. Due to the licensing, I believe the author retains the "copyleft" of any contributions. But, I could be wrong. But, that still doesn't answer the question of who has the legal ownership of the wiki itself. --Mnbvcxz 05:54, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

  As far as I know, the code is open source, and all the contributions are owned by the contributors. So that would make it owned, basically, by no one.   I believe Wikia does the uncyclopedia.org site name. Also, I believe "Uncyclopedia" is a non-profit entity owned by Wikia, right? Despite the fact that the content itself is owned by the authors, and licensed under a copyleft Creative Commons license. As for moving, I think we also create mirrors (and if fact, there are some independent mirror sites floating around) without actually moving off of wikia. --Mnbvcxz 06:53, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

  Forum:Some links to Uncyc forums of the past. Uncyclopedia WAS a non profit site. Wikia then bought the domain name from the sites founder without the knowledge of the community. They then added links to their other wikis which run adverts, and then changed our name to deceive their advertisers. All of this was done against the will of the Uncyc community. Considering how Uncyc is being used by Wikia now, I think it's a stretch to consider us a non-profit site. We clearly make money for Wikia.
