The Chevrolet Suburban is a bigass station wagon that guzzles a hell of a lot of crude oil from the reserves. The vehicle has been known to tow trailers and haul 9 passengers in 3 bench seat rows. Unlike sedans that haul 6, the Chevy Suburban has been known to haul 9 because GM was trying to pull off an incentive with people who buy station wagons.

The Suburban was made to get 9 miles to the gallon as Chevrolet was trying to encourage people to carpool in an effort to battle high gas prices. It also uses real wheel drive in lieu of front wheel drive so people would be encouraged to drive more carefully in bad weather. As people were fighting over ride sharing, the vehicle lost popularity over evil foreign cars.
