Chin Hellstream (1974-)
A singer/poet from Göteborg, who is famous for not being able to hit one single note correctly. He is also very popular among small girls and the music journalists, who accuses him to be "as real as anyone can be" and "unique". He is inspired by such different artists as Bob Dylan, The Smiths and Dexy’s Midnight Runners. Here are three cuts from his wonderful lyrics:
Banging on the door to Heaven (Hellstream)
Papa take this bag from me I can’t carry it anymore It’s getting shady too shady to see It’s almost like I'm banging on the door to Heaven
[chorus]: Bang-bang-banging on the door to Heaven Bang-bang-banging on the door to Heaven Bang-bang-banging on the door to Heaven Bang-bang-banging on the door to Heaven
Papa put my pistol in a grave I don’t wanna shoot anymore That cold grey cloud is coming closer It’s almost like I'm banging on the door to Heaven
[chorus]: Bang-bang-banging on the door to Heaven
Come on Lena (Hellstream)
Poor young John Nyrén Sounded like sorrow on the TV He moved a thousand hearts in stereo Our fathers used To sing along, I don’t blame them You are so young, so young, now I need to say more than ever (come on Lena) Go boora doora boora boo bye faye And we can sing just like John Nyrén
[chorus]: Come on Lena, oh I swear what I mean At these moments, you mean everything With you in that skirt, oh my thoughts feels like dirt Verge on dirty Ah come on Lena
Come on Lena !
When is now? (Hellstream)
I am their son and their heir of a bitterness that is not legally vulgar I am their son and heir of nothing but their dreadfulness
You shut your ears how can you listen I go about it the wrong way I am white man and I need to be loved more than most of us do
I am their son...
