Megavideo (March 21, 2005 - January 19, 2012) was a filesharing website born in March 2005 of the world's fattest man, Kim .com. It's a MAN named KIM!!! How gayish and wierd?
Anyway, we all have loved Megavideo with all our hearts for its infinite possibilities. You could upload 100 videos in a day!
You could watch Robot Chicken. Whatever you like ! Megavideo was the bomb!!
Kim Dotcom was pregnant with Megavideo starting in June 2004. (wait, a boy being pregnant? uh, that's impsosible) He finally gave birth to the site on March 21, 2005. Withen weeks the site was loaded with hundreds of cool videos!
In October 2011, at 6 1/2, Megavideo was diagnosed with SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Aneurysm), which was supposedly some non-piracy bill created by the evil Government.
The fatal government bill eventually killed the website in January 2012. Many internet fans mourned the passing of the website. SOPA was 'shelved' the following week and returned as CISPA in 2013, a much stricter antipiracy bill which led to the untimely slaughtering of FaceBook that year.
Megavideo's funeral took place on January 25, 2012, 6 days after its death. Kim Dotcom read the eulogy, which was:
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me"
With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away and although we love you dearly we could not make you stay.
A Golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best
The same eulogy was read at Facebook's funeral, on January 27, 2013.
What matters is that Megavideo will always be remembered as an awesome website that everybody loved. We still mourn for Megavideo to this day.
But hey, Megavideo's in a better place now.
On January 20, 2013, Mega.co.nz was born of Kim Dotcom, and would've been Megavideo's brother.
Mega.co.nz never even found out that its brother is Megavideo, and that's so sad.
It is very similar to Megavideo, it has all the features, and same videos are being uploaded.
It is also a ray of success just like good ol' Megavideo was!
